Carmen Coindreau

Is a native of Monterrey, Mexico and has lived in New York, Miami and Los Angeles California. She graduated from Theatre Arts in the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in 2004 and has a Theatre Minor in Barry University in Miami Florida in 2007. She also completed three Professional Musical Theatre Intensive Workshops, one in Manhattan School of Music in New York City in the year of 2004 and two more in TISCH school of arts in NYU having the great

opportunity of working with Stephen Sondheim’s Musical Director, Paul Gemignani.
She founded and directed the Performing Arts Departments in two schools of Meritas international group of schools. Instituto San Roberto in 1996 and the successful Dance Department in 1998 with just 12 students that became 587 by 2001. She directed 12 musicals in Mexico including “ We Will Rock You”, “The Wiz”, “Beauty and the Beast” and “Hairspray among others. She was the Theatre Director at Heritage Oak Private School from 2008 to 2010 Where she directed “The Grinch”, “The Wiz” , “Annie” and “Beauty and the Beast”. She also directed two summer camps where students performed “Seussical” and “High School Musical”.
She has been the Theatre Director in OC Performing Arts for 4 years where she directed “ Ypu’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” , “The Little Mermaid “Shrek” and she’s currently directing the musical “The Addams Family”
Carmen was a Musical Theatre performer in Mexico playing important roles like “Madam Giry” in The Phantom of the Opera, and “Mimi” in Rent. She has also directed more than 12 musicals including The Wiz, Beauty and The Beast, Footloose, Hairspray, We Will Rock You, All Shook Up, Annie, Seussical and The Little Mermaid. She also worked as stage manager on “Avenue Q”, “The Frogs” and “The Beauty and the Beast” on Broadway.
She has directed musical theatre for 20 years and is currently directing musicals and teaching voice and piano to more than 50 students.
