Matt Raminick has been playing and teaching drums/percussion for over 25 years. Having studied extensively with LA jazz great Jason Harnell and Blue Man Group composer/performer Anthony Parrulli, Matt is well versed in multiple styles of music.Matt began playing drums at age 11 and participated in all types of music ensembles through grade school including concert band, jazz, and marching band as well as toured and recorded with local/regional acts in the Tampa Bay area. Following high school, Matt was accepted to the DCI top-12 ranked Colts Drum and Bugle Corps as a member of the tenor line and toured extensively with the corps throughout the summer. Matt’s teaching career flourished as the director of percussion at the nationally BOA ranked and Florida state champion Seminole High School marching band where he taught marching percussion and composed field show music. Matt has since worked as a private drum teacher covering both drum set and rudimentary percussion.Matt currently plays drums with Los Angeles based punk quartet Dimber and is endorsed by Vic Firth (artist and educator) and Humes & Berg cases.
