Eric has been teaching music for 30 years with a specialization in piano and voice lessons. He split his college years between the degrees of classical piano performance and music composition. Since then he’s had the privilege to both direct and perform in a wide range of musical settings: classical and rock, vocal and instrumental, musical theater, and jazz. Eric loves seeing students develop their unique talents – he’s comfortable working with vocal and keyboard students of all styles, and has helped many learn to sing and play at the same time. As a worship arts director, he’s worked with brand new musicians, and when gigging he’s directed ensembles and bands of professional players. In his spare time, he hangs out with his dogs, his wife, and six teenage and adult children, and reads about recreational mathematics.
